About Us
North Tyneside Business Forum was set up to encourage and develop business growth in the borough through a shared focus on promoting economic success. Through the Forum you can become better informed, get more involved in the local business community and access a wealth of information on issues affecting your company.
Any local business, large or small, can access the Forum’s services. You can attend our events and networking evenings, you can ‘Ask an Expert’, or you can call the Helpline on 0191 6436000
It’s all free of charge if you’re based in the Borough.
What’s your problem?
We are a true ‘One Stop Shop’ organisation where all of your business issues can be swiftly channelled in the right direction and addressed by the appropriate person or organisation. We can put you straight to the heart of the local business world by accessing the most relevant networks, mentors and experts. Perhaps we can connect you with the right person or department within North Tyneside Council, or put you in touch with other public and third sector bodies who may have the support you are looking for?
No more wading through phone books or the internet, wondering which organisation you should contact first – let us take some of the strain out of your working day. Now you know where to go if you need advice for your business - whatever your problem, call the Business Forum on 0191 6436000.
We’re all in it together
SMEs make up around 97% of the North Tyneside economy – they are the lifeblood of our society and our communities - so it is vital that we work together and do everything we can to support small companies and to consider buying local products and services whenever we do business.
It’s in everyone’s interest to help our local business base thrive. This approach not only helps the small guys, but it also means that large organisations, in both the private and public sectors, can save time and money by having healthy and comprehensive supply chains right here on their doorstep.
For North Tyneside businesses only
The Business Forum may be new but it’s already making a difference – we’re developing a busy events programme to promote networking and inter-trading, and we’re working on a number of services, accessible via this website, so you can talk to other North Tyneside businesses about topical and current issues. We’re also in the process of developing a range of other offers to make your experience of doing business in the Borough a positive one.
As well as helping you overcome any hurdles and barriers you face, from the major to the minor, we are also determined that local business has a say in any developments which affect the local economy. We want your views to be taken into account in the forward-planning processes of local and national government - whether it’s to do with major regeneration projects or the future of the region’s road networks, we want you to be part of the debate.
Because we work in close partnership with North Tyneside Council and with other business groups and support organisations we can ensure we are linked in at a strategic level.
