Research into SME experience in North East

Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University has been commissioned by NEA2F to undertake  a major piece of independent research in the North East region and we urgently need to hear the views and experiences of our SME community.  The scale and scope of this piece of work is unique in that there is no such research taking place in Europe currently. We are collating the views of the SME community, Banks and the Business Angel Community.  We know that growth businesses are facing unprecedented challenges raising seed and expansion finance and yet the SME community is absolutely vital to the success of this region. NEA2F meet with many SME bodies who report these challenges anecdotally. With this research we have the ear of government and policy makers in Whitehall and Brussels and this is the opportunity for the SMEs across our region to be heard, to have their say.  We would therefore urge you to take some time to ‘have your say’ and participate in a short  survey that should take10-15 minutes of your time.

The closing date for completion of the survey is the 31st October 2011.  After that date, we will randomly select 10 SME’s and offer a 1:1 Executive Coaching session to a senior figure in each company, as recognition of your time and contribution.   Executive Coaching enables leaders to step back from the day to day pace of their business and use the coach as an objective and confidential sounding board to enable clarity of thinking and action; working ‘on the business’ not in it.
