Learning Advocates

The Learning Advocates initiative is designed to help employers up skill their workforce and is completely free to non unionised companies.

In brief, this initiative will enable your company to have a member of staff trained as a Learning Advocate who is able to :

• Interview colleagues and advise on their individual learning needs.
• Identify free and subsidised training opportunities for your company.
• Promote a learning culture within the workplace - at all levels.

In effect, your company would be developing its own "mini training expert/careers adviser".   If you have a member of staff who would like to develop the skills of a Learning Advocate they would complete a 2 day course leading to a recognized qualification.  The initiative is fully funded including all tuition, course materials and enrolment fees.
