Improve your business and protect the planet

North East businesses can find out how to improve their environmental credentials at a special breakfast session next month.

The event, delivered by the Carbon Trust in partnership with the North Tyneside Business Forum and North Tyneside Council, will show organisations how they can make a big difference to their balance sheets and environmental credentials, by taking just a few simple steps.

Delegates can find out how to achieve rapid cost savings whilst taking steps to protect the planet, learn how to reduce their carbon footprint and become more energy efficient, discover how buying local can reduce time delays and fuel usage, and ultimately reduce their costs and increase profit margins.

A locally-sourced breakfast buffet will be served from 7.30 until 8 am and attendees can also chat to other like-minded companies and share energy-saving tips.

Delegates will also be able to take away an individual action plan and other materials to help them train staff and begin their journey towards a cleaner world and a healthier balance sheet.

The event takes place on Thursday 8 December, between 7.30 and 9 am at Swan Hunter (NE) Ltd, Station Road, Wallsend, North Tyneside, NE28 6EQ.

It is open to members and non-members of the North Tyneside Business Forum. Business Forum members can register online at www.northtynesidebusinessforum.co.uk.

Non-members can book by contacting Tony Turnbull, Environmental Sustainability Adviser, on (0191) 643 6477 or email tony.turnbull@northtyneside.gov.uk
